Christmastime!!

Yay for Christmas!! The photo sessions are done until the new year & I'm able to sit back & reflect on what an awesome year I've had! Chasing Daylight Photography was born in 2009...I've had over 125 different clients this past year & I'm so lucky that they have ALL been amazing!

As most of you know, I've been doing holiday mini sessions just about every weekend (minus the rainy ones!) since TurkeyDay, and they have been SO much fun! To toast to the holidays, here is a small selection of my personal favorite holiday themed photos taken during these sessions.

What a group of beautiful people, eh?! I'm so lucky!!

Merry Christmas, & Happy Holidays to everyone I've worked with in this past year! There are lots of exciting things in store for Chasing Daylight Photography in 2010 so stay tuned!! Have a safe & happy holiday season!!

Ashley's Sneak Peek!

Ashley is majoring in Psychology and graduating from SDSU this month. December grads don't always get the attention they deserve, so it's great when one calls me up for a graduation session!! Ashley is super sweet & is going to make a great therapist. Here's a small sneak peek...the letters were her idea!!

Baby Uriah's Sneak Peek!

Another newborn!! This is the best part of my job. :)

I had a great time today with little Uriah & his parents. Newborn sessions are partially so fun because of the downtime while the little one is eating or falling asleep. I love getting to know my clients better! Enjoy!

Heather & Joe's Sneak Peek!!

Heather & Joe have been friends of mine since middle school & high school (respectively). I remember Heather bunked up across from me at 6th grade camp, and I remember when Joe was "Joey." I was absolutely honored to photograph their wedding on Saturday! Heather looked stunning, and Joe didn't look so bad either! ;) Here are just a few of my many favorites from the wedding!

Natalia's Sneak Peek!

I always look forward to meeting up with Carla, Cameron, and Natalia for Natalia's session every 3 months! If only you could be a fly on the wall at our sessions...they are SO much fun! I don't think I laugh harder at any other session. Carla & Cameron are so much fun & I'm extremely honored that they have invited me back every 3 months since their maternity session! Here's a little sneak peek at Miss Natalia's 6 month session!

Katie's Sneak Peek!

Can I just start by saying that every time I type "sneak peek" in the subject title, I have to backspace because I spelled either "sneak" or "peak" wrong? I mean, I know how to spell. I'm actually really good at spelling. But they sound the same and my brain has a really hard time not typing "sneek peek" or "sneak peak." Glad English was my first language...it'd be hard to learn!

But I digress. Today I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with an old friend from high school. She's expecting her third child this month (one week from today, actually!) & wow, pregnancy looks great on her! She's a pro at all of this by now but has yet to take maternity photos! Of course, I jumped at the chance to gift her a session...the photos look great! Here's a sneak peek (typo'd again...twice):

Thanks for letting me take your first maternity photos, Katie! I'll be thinking about you next Wednesday!!!

What??! Kate shot a wedding?!

I don't usually agree to do weddings. I've done a few for clients, friends, and family, but I don't consider myself a wedding photographer. However, I hesitantly agreed to cover Danny & Aristea's wedding yesterday (they're practically family) and I'm really glad I did. Here are some of my favorites from the day!

And there are LOTS more. Maybe someday I'll be confident enough to do weddings full time, because I really do have fun with them. Congratulations to the both of you!!

The Castleberry Family Sneak Peek!

I had the pleasure of meeting the Castleberry family today! We had our session by the dam at Mission Trails (a new location for me!) and it was an absolutely fantastic spot...so much variety! These guys were tons of fun, and I came out with some awesome shots. Here are some of my favs!
